listlessness;
the silences of unkempt plenty.
united at once, we celebrate
punishment suffering many.
stare at the wallpaper,
what is sallow was once sunny.

The President Lies
The President lies
A poor person cries
In his hair he has white
As his lies fill the night.

Dear Donald Drumpf,
I don’t quite see the appeal
Of a walrus wearing a toupee
Shouting out obscenities while I stand here in dismay
The country is in shambles
A girl emprisoned by her own hair,
The vanity unkenned through the land,
The tower's walls concealed each strand,
and the very maiden fair.
For jealousy, for jealousy, was she far locked away,

is what many refuse to say,
how can an old message become less true,
our president wanting to get back to old roots,
sadly his trees are losing fruit,
Muslim Bans,
dear you,
beautiful black woman
you woke up to a nightmare, november ninth
Make America Great Again,
America was Great.
America was Great,
January,
The third friday,
The 20th,
I will protest againt this insanity
Speak up without enmity
Even when they set their dogs loose
Because I won't tolerate this abuse
And we're not backing down
I refuse to be led by a clown
You are blind.
Do you realize our shape?
You are misfitted, who are you, one of a kind?
No, I think not.
You do not come together.
Instead, we're all the same but yet we are separated;
A year ago I felt safe and secure,
with a president who was pure.
Now, I am scared for my life,
because our president just wants to pick a strife.
That is not fair, I say.
Can he please go away?
We’re starving as a country
We needed a change,
But this isn’t what we wanted.
We say “we,”
But we function as “I.”
I didn’t want this
Why is one man raised above another?
Thinking he's better just because of a color
Why does one man think he can choose who belongs?
Thinks he can choose who stays or who gets pushed along
When I was seventeen, I had a friend
With sparkling eyes and a contagious smile
She had a fire for life and goals to achieve
Two men ripped away her aspirations
With cold and calculated heart and mind;
A man who lacked remorse for other men,
Twisted the sights of those walking behind,
To turn them to a life of sheep and hens.
Say nothing,
Do not protest, let the bigotry cause no unrest.
People laugh off the the pain, like the insults some sort of jest.
Say nothing,
heads in the street
lust for love
viscous fangs that bite
evil minds that plug destruction
corporate greed
drain the swamp
violation of the innocent
faces, hands & feet
She is beauty
She is dreams
She holds misogyny
Hoping for a better life it seems
She talks to everyone
Discusses their ideas and desires
The only offspring with a say is the son
We say the land of the free
And yet we have a scandal about our President’s
Pee.
This doesn’t seem to be very fair to
Me.
Hello to all
You’re probably wondering how I got here.
But all I can is the race was a ball.
I promise to adhere
To the requests of the all I hold dear.
Dear America
A letter to the country of the United States of America. What are you doing?
Dear Black America,
So much of you to see and hear-Too much; I'd rather not.Anything you say or doBecomes a topic that is "hot":
The orange old man
that tried to make a ban
Is on his fourth wife
Yet he still has no life
He opned hotels in Vegas
Which made him famous
This man named Donald Trump
Democracy?
An illusion
Freedom?
A delusion
How are we supposed to feel
with Isis's intrusion?
We're stuck in bad habit
while they're organizing their cabinet.
I AM THE CHANGE
I’m sorry I don’t want to be a president,
I don’t want to rule or conquer anyone,
I want to love, give and live for everyone,
I want to bury this pressing dent,
HOOK:
Obama wants a change. To have to world rearranged. Let's do this right. We can change during the day or night. We can change a person's life.
VERSE:
We can do this.
If at the voter’s booth I was given potter’s wheel and clay,
And told, “Make a victorious president this day!”
I would not know how to start or where to play.
But since you asked, this much I’ll say:
Four score and seven years ago,
Our Fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation
Eight years into the twenty-first century
“I do Solemnly swear” Obama said,
An oath which he reached with a trod.
To preserve, protect, and defend Our Nation,
The United States “So help me God”.
Can you hear me now?
We want our president
We want to be heard
we want to be noticed!
No longer, pushed aside and kept in the dark.
Can you hear me now?
We want our president
We want to be heard
Please mister president,
Listen to my plea.
There are fellows like you and me
Living on the street,
They are treated like meat.
When they have hearts and souls
Like you and me,
But it seems to be,
