Can you save me?Can you pull me from my pit? From my dark and endless jail? Can you tear down my walls of anguish?Burn my fears or failure? Can you help me?Can you teach me how to feel real again?
"You know you'll be broke?" is what everyone said, their words and opinions filling my head. "A career change already? Are you sure you really want it?" I hadn't even started, and thought I should quit.
I walk into the library, but I do not read.I make lists and lists for someone else to read. They may read it on time, or they may read it late.Am I a student or a teacher? I walk into the classroom, ready to learn. But sometimes I don't.I carry pape
God
I don't know how to pray
I do'nt know what to do
I don't know what I believe
But I know I want to believe in you
Please help me to believe
Reveal yourself to me
Show me
The sun shines, but the skies frown,
The rain falls on an empty town,
Watch the children run throughout the streets,
As they skin their knees and ruin their cleats,
Sitting watching my hand grabs yours you squeeze, I smile, you laugh, no noise I lean, you lean, I shut my eyes, a shock, a welcome, a sweet surprise, I reach, you hug, my body's numb,
Education is the key
Learn, discover, explore and play
So that you can be who you want to be
Education is a privilege
Not everyone has the chance
Just look at a third world village
Dream to help,
Help to make dreams
To be before other pushing,
Toward their life.
I wish to teach and
and make it possible to change the world
Change the world by making
A great man said once “Ask not what you can do for your country, but what your country can do for you.”
Many people have many dreams, and many dreams are to serve others.
I am selfish.
I wish to be served.
One Job May Change My Life
An Original Poem by Julianne Kuzmanovic
There was only ever one job, one duty, one obligation
That has ever really interested me
One job could change my life, in factOne job could change one moreIf only to find my place in thatTo find a purpose forOne job to overcome the fearTo overcome the angist
Together: incessant the potters mold
Us, clods of clay first dug from earth.
A process replete with change; rebirth-
Oscillate the wheel, change the world.
Their hands methodically vertical-
Inspiration is a way of telling our sorry tales of when we lost hope and gained it back. A way to show everyone and everything that there was a day the pain resided and was left to hang in the air.
Thank you teachers for the teachings of men
Who died long ago for their ignorance and sin.
Thank you teachers for the power to think
But I do not partake of the cup that you drink.
Dear teacher I wish you would teach the kids the why’s behind what you say.Dear teacher I wish you would show the kids how they should behave a certain way.Dear teacher I wish you would stand up for what you believe.
No more printed worksheets,
no more downloaded lessons,
I want you to stand up and teach the class.
Unglue your eyes from that computer of yours,
and stop texting that person on your phone,
What can't be seen on the inside is
the audacity of learning
What a beautifully, treacherous thing
The script calls for a master,
but life has taken the mastery out of the art
Try
Teach me how to derive
An equation for what it means to be alive
Can’t
See, there’s no secant line
From where I am to the future I have in mind
Say,
What does it mean to be right?
Everybody makes mistakes
Some make big mistakes to where everyone remembers their name
That doesn’t mean they will always repeat their same mistake
I got expelled when I was in the eighth grade
Dr. King and Rosa Parks are a part of our history/ But that's not enough, alot of us are still left in mystery
We yearn to know, more and more bout how our people have grown/ But in school they think it's cool for only us to know....
Teach me the truth
I don't want to know that y=mx+b
or E=mc squared
I want to know what I need for life
I want to know how to pay bills
to manage a budget
I want the truth
You never did enjoy the phrase "I don't know".
Its like a terribly disease laced with your death throes,
and then you just go and throw me away.
Like the phrase I just said.
Teachers,
Instead of teaching us how to solve quadratic functions
Teach us how to do our taxes and pay our bills
Instead of teaching us Shakepeare's themes about human nature
They tried to teach poetry as a class in fifth grade,
Even the teacher opposed to ‘teaching’ poetry,
Poetry is not taught, it is felt in your heart and soul,
It is a way of expressing yourself like nothing and no one else,
To college I am going, to get my Bachelor’s degree.
I want to be a teacher. It’s something I’ve always wanted to be.
My classes require I practice the assignments, I might someday assign to my students.
