Teach us how to cope with heartbreak and pain

Instead of teaching us the history of dead generals

Teach us how to get into a good college so that we can have a future

Instead of teaching us how to analyze a speech for rhetorical devices

Teach us what to say during a job interview and how to format a job application

Instead of teaching us the speed of light and how E=mc^2

Teach us how to take care of our future children when they're sick

Teach us the things we need to know in life

Because right now, you're our guides

And these things that we're learning now will only be forgotten later
