Bumped again by crowds she freezes
Surprised by people all around
She scans the swathe of nameless faces
But the one she wants cannot be found.
A small hand tugs upon her sleeve—
Memories wrapped around clots and strands
Of hair oft described as gold, by those forgetting
Its bearer led a life
Best described as wing-clipped.
Thigh-length, some days shining, others matted
Six thousand five hundred and seventy days.
In this tower,
Pacing the floors,
Memorizing the walls,
Alone,
For six thousand five hundred and seventy days.
Gothel is fond of books.
Rapunzel, Rapunzel had a lot of hair
So thick, so dense
No stylist would dare
She stayed in a tower
In the middle of town
Combing and spraying
Detangling and braiding
You've heard the magical tales
Of faraway lands
With flying children, lovesick mermaids
Genies in the Arabian sands
Once upon a time,
in a tower- tall, far and kept away
lived Rapunzel,
a secret princess in her day
Her father, the King
made a mistake he could not take back
Rapunzel was alone most days and most nights
She grew sad and felt no meaning was meant for her
Her golden hair grew long and luscious
Her once bright purple dress turned cold and frail
they say she stayed in her tower
for those cold years
out of obedience
adherence
and requirement
but perhaps it was
fear
the small window a reminder of a small role
“Rapunzel, Rapunzel, look at your hair!”
The detective screamed in terror and despair
Looking at her sight, the gleam in her eyes
Showing the fright of the something despised
Once upon a time,
they begin to say
she was so pretty
but not so much these days
Rapunzel Rapunzel let down your hair
I hear contanstly yanking at my ears
Once upon a time there was a girl with blonde hair and blue eyes.
She was trapped in a castle with nothing but her mind.

Rapunzel
Once upon a time there was a girl who lived in a tower with a witch.
No, the witch was not evil- she was just forgetful
She adopted a little girl named Repunzel not out of spite,
she droops like a melting candle,
eyes glazed,
joint smoked.
(in so much that the scent of the leaves is nothing like Fall,
Rapunzel,
Let down your hair
Allow your locks to flow free,
As your curls cascade down the tower
Your follicles fall gracefully,
Once there was a girl named Rapunzel,
Whose beauty could rival the stars,
With golden hair, lucious and full,
But a heart that was littered with scars.
See, Rapunzel was just a small girl,
On the streets of Lost Angels In the red riders hood There lived a woman that was pure from her mane to her blood Her hair was not silk nor blonde nor cascading It was the kinky coarse curls that were tamed by braiding It ran the length of 10 Impa
oh her lovely hair,
that shone so brightly like the shimmering sun above
and flowed like golden waves on a blonde, sandy beach
oh her lovely hair,
that locked everyone under a spell
Rapunzel, Rapunzel
Would let down her hair,
Waiting for mighty men to ensnare.
Her golden blonde locks,
Stained strawberry with blood,
There once was a mother--That is, soon to be.Her cravings consumed her,But some weren't cheap.
O Rapunzel, she was up in her tower all day
She often wondered what the world was like
Her cell phone kept her company every day
She often would take pictures of her golden hair
Come and see,
as the sun sets in all of its glory to touch rays of waning light
upon a quiet hill of houses with the peace of doves
and a story like the stars,
Once upon a time
peach trees
grew outside my window
green leaves blew in the breeze
the view from my balcony
just trees for days, over hills and valleys
a sweet scent on the air
Once upon a time, he never showed up. Her prince, the one she knew as her knight in shining armor was to rescue her from this tower, said he would never be late and referred to her as his precious flower, Except for today. She waited minutes, then
"Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair!"
"No, I don't want to! Why are you there?"
"To save you, my princess, from horrible demise."
"Please don't look at me with those eyes!"
"Why not, m'lady? I truly do care."
I'm sitting here.
Waiting
Waiting
Waiting
Where is he?
Waiting
Waiting
Waiting
I'll just brush my hair.

Rapunzel was a free woman
Who had courage, beauty, and smarts.
But she desired an opportuniy, so she went looking
For a degree in the liberal arts.
She applied to her nearest college
If only, Mulan, you kept your long silky hair
You could be Rapunzel, not a soldier in despair
Look at her shiny golden locks
Meanwhile, you’re surrounded by cocks
I scaled the stone wall,
Green moss hugged the edges.
It would be impossible to climb.
I looked up to the window,
And there was a flash of golden hair.
There she was,
I've never seen anyone so fair.
Once upon a time there was a girl named Rapunzel. Her hair was her first love. She got everyone's attention with the dramatic length of her hair. Everyone stared at her, even the bush dove.
One day my prince will appear
One day love will be near
And I'll be free
To leave this tower and flee
Because my prince will have found me
I have waited so long
For my prince, big and strong
Golden hair miles wide
Inside the tower she would hide
A maiden oh so fair
Such beautiful flowing hair
Far and wide
Princes ride
On a quest
To steal the heart of the tower's princess
“Rapunzel, Rapunzel let down your hair!”
Rapunzel cringed inward and sighed with despair.
Her hair ladder was good for one thing indeed,
For seeing her prince, she did desperately need.
Rapunzel, Rapunzel, Let down your fears.
Do what you want as long as the witch doesn't hear.
How did the witch feel when she found that you were with child?
A baby with a baby
Rapunzel, Rapunzel, Let down your fears.
Do what you want as long as the witch doesn't hear.
How did the witch feel when she found that you were with child?
A baby with a baby
Whether you were told I was stolen or given
my story was shared.
The ending never right,
but nobody cared.
Here's what happened, so pay attention.
To this day I'm still unsure
Rapunzel, Rapunzel,
He called up to me.
I rushed to the window
Was this just a dream?
Rapunzel, Rapunzel,
Please let down your hair.
What a strange request!
But I send it down there.
Once upon a time
In a land not so far away
Where the balance of good and bad
Forever sway
But what would happen
"Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your cares"
He tells me to do that, but how could I dare?
"You're lovely tonight, please cast down your cares"
He claims to love me, he forever stands there
Let's say Rapunzel had clinical depression-- it's not far-fetched. Spending a lifetime in a tower with no one but your “Godmother” and your thoughts is sure to harm anyone’s mental health.
The window was open one silvery night
And Rapunzel was frozen in half-hearted flight
The cold air beckoned from the heavens above
And tickled her ears where the shears had touched
Rapunzel:
Prince, Prince, let down your beard to me
I've never been kissed by someone so hairy
My mom is on me to find a man to love
I was trespassing and saw your stubble above
happily ever after, sweet trinity of utterance
evidence of dreaming, of love, of laughter
an ending satisfactory, yet my tale tells a difference
Once upon a time she was locked in a tower,
a tower drowning in hope.
A tower with one fight and lots of power.
A tower only used to mope.
With beautiful blonde hair,
with a bright, white smile,
I am past the unbridled nature of humankind,
That which rises from the soft ground below me,
Men drawing straws from the thicket like pencils,
In hopes of writing the next chapter in my story.
How can I say a story that's untold?
You have heard the twisted lines from the queen
Beware of events that will soon unfold
Because now my patience begins to ween
She is my daughter but claimed by the king
Once it was a winter dreary
Light was weak, my bones were weary
Thirteen summers passed and counting
I heard the clatter of hooves amounting
Thinking it only the witch
I barely gave a huff and a twitch
Who ever said
Once upon a time
had to come ahead
of the story?
It's a pastime.
Maybe Rapunzel never wanted to be saved.
She was just a girl.
She was never enslaved.
Once upon a time,
There was a princess who lived high in a tower.
Her hair blonde and long--a cut or trim, she never did have.
The prince was determined to save her, with his manly power.
Once upon a time
A girl loved a boy.
A bewitching boy.
A boy she had never met
A boy she only knew from afar
But a boy she loved nonetheless.
One day the girl got a message
I'm sitting here looking pretty trapped in my tower waiting for you.
At least that's what you think, my sweet prince.
My long hair all golden and blonde awaiting your climb.
Rapunzel so beautiful,
So delicate,
So mystifying.
Her hair so long,
Long enough to create a wall-
Against all-
Who dare oppose.
She loved to wait upon her window sill,
Once upon a time
There were seven kingdoms
Founded by seven sisters
And blessed by an immortal witch
The stories of these kingdoms
You may find familiar
But know that all is not as it was told
Once upon a time, a baby girl with hair that could keep someone young forever was born to a king and queen, but one day an old woman named Gothel kidnapped the baby for her own selfish desire. She isolated her in a tower.
We know how this story goes, my friends-
The Witch, the tower, the Prince in the end-
Sometimes, a Dragon (just for a twist)
Perched tippity top, which is shrouded in mist-
Once 'pon a Time long ago,A witch showed a terrible show. She cursed a young manWho had stolen her hamAnd rampion for his wife (and daughter in tow).
Once upon a time
Beyond tales and rhyme
There lived a princess in a tower.
Her hair was beholden
To be long and golden
Shining through the bower.
I don't like being in public
Unlike others,
Lock myself in a tower to get away
From it all.
Being a princess wouldn't be so bad
If no one constantly came to me.
"Rapunzel, Rapunzel", they say,
I am a girl
whose all cooped up
in 200 sq ft
I wanna talk
I wanna walk
I wanna run free
I'm trapped and isolated
I'm bored and jaded
Please set me free
One upon a time there was a girl with hair of gold
She was locked away in a dark tower, or so I'm told.
But the truth is, Rapunzel did not want to go outside
The last time that Gothel asked her to go out, she cried.
Rapunzel just waited
Up in her tower
For a man to come
And give her a flower.
But what if she didn't
want that man
to come to her
like a 1D fan?
What if she wanted
Rapunzel, Rapunzel, pleases let down your hair.
Your beautiful but uptight, do not hold yourself captive up there,
Your so smart, but oblivious,
Destined for something so... great, however unaware
Enter Eugene.
Eugene- Why do they make fun at what they don’t understand?
Ah! It’s Rapunzel in her tower window,
Her golden hair as bright as the Sun.
What makes a princess a princess?
Is it her smarts? Or her compassion? Her strong will? Or maybe it’s the way she sings that beckons forest creatures to her whim and call?
Looking up at chandeliers with broken glass, You lay down as you remember all your time that has passed. Thinking of your prince and how love went through your heart like a beam, But then you awake and realize that was all but a dream.
Here I am
Locked up in a tower
Not allowed to come down
Always wondering how it would be like on the ground
Always wondering how it would be like to see the world
How does the grass feel between my toes?
