Crash, bang, pop!
Midnight gridlock.
Red lights all around.
Horns blaring with the sound of a thousand trumpets.
I sit, wait, and appreciate.
Perspective changes problems into opportunities.
Hello, new friend, as beautiful as a warm, spring day
You are always in the bay in May
You are as red as a tomato
Not as dull as a potato
Handsome and shining
There's nothing more depressing than pigeons in the park.
Did you know that stars are most likely burnt out by the time we see their light?
Your soft lips in the light of the exit sign,
Driving, at night, in the rain The street lights invite Colors on the road Get stoned, and listen to Music on the radio You enjoy the visual show The neon lights bounce off you As you enjoy the solitude Colors of yellow and blue That you must pass
Hello Mr. mustang, please don’t text while you drive
Unless of course you are ready to die
In that case please don’t do it here
When children and innocent people are near
For not everyone is prepared for their death
Me? growing up? Absolutely not, the idea was something I never thought would happen.
I enjoyed riding in the backseat of the car, closing my eyes and waking up at the grocery store or the car store.
You've designed a new electric car and it's being built on the assembly line. You've been pestering me to buy one but I never will, one of your cars will never be mine. You want me to buy one but I'm going to pass.
76 MPH down I-85.
The tires rolling underneath
make me think of a galloping horse.
For five hours, I watch the scenery change
Towering city to
Abandoned town to
Blazing tree tops.
Which way will you turn? Blinkers stay unlit,
One land, Two sea, None by inept driver.
Absent headed fool in traffic we sit,
Stick figure family, mocking riders.
Dear Pa,
Never wrote a letter ever.
I’m told e-mail’s just not the same.
OK, here goes.
I was 3 when my life was flipped upside downI never got to sleepover at a friends house or Ride a bike or been ask to danceNever got to chase my brother or play like a normal kid
What if Dad bought us a Volkswagen
And taught us how to drive
I’d take it into the woods
And drive and drive and drive
it’s my dad’s car. it’s not my car, i drive it and i buy the gas and i leave the seat all the way up so my legs can reach the gas pedals but it’s not my car. it’s my dad’s car.
The flow of our bodies begins to harmonize
A chorus of grunts and moans crescendos
Urged forth by her begging eyes
Our symphony climaxes behind fogged windows
I wake from my sleep,
and I don't make a peep.
Because beside me she is there,
Sleeping without a care.
She must not wake
or her rest I will take,
leaving her weary.
Windows down
Engine's going
Music drowns the sounds of the roadside roaring
Leaving town
Songs are flowing
Music drowns the sounds of those left snoring
Melodic cloud
Alive and soaring
There is nothing quite like getting in the car while it rains.
I turn onto the interstate, and set my pace at about 70 mph.
I love the sound of each and every rain drop falling onto my car.
The steering wheel's fabric feels warm against the skin of my forehead slick, sweaty. Outside the chill threatens to freeze the ruby lakes of my bloodstream, it rages a war against the heat that has consumed my body.
im really rather fond of drivingof moving, while not moving muchof possessing the power to annihilatebut using it for meandering about andgoing to mcdonalds
Shit...that's all I could say on the night that my dad made us go different ways.
I said it three times as I put on my pants, and he knocked on the window as you pulled out your hand.
NO
What song was I listening to?
NO
How fast was I going?
NO
What time was it?
NO
Where was I going?
NO
Where did I come from?
NO
Where is my other tire?
NO
A worn out face stares through the fog,
forgotten voices fill her head.
The dripping of the constant rain,
diminishes the never ending pain.
Two dim lights finally appear,
They say I’m waxing philosophic. But it’s only a car and so what if I like it shinyit’s mine and it reflects the sky, the sun, the moon, the stars and, in a way, me, connecting me to the universe
My car used to be new
Little miles a long life
From the Mexican border
To picking up an order
A phone call is just too far away,
I am falling from high up in the cloud.
You gave me hope then feed my doubt.
She came around,
And you took your dreams and got in your car;
Intestinal gastrin flooding my
esophagus to make my stomach
drop every time I see that color,
the other type of car, rolling
making every other person
look duller
the swelling of the lymph nodes
The traffic sounded like the sea, always moving,
never changing.
The sun's rays grew intense, burning the skin,
She thought she was invincible
19 and young
Invincible to the cops
Invincible to the shots
Invincible to a drive
That took her down a road late one night
She ran from the cops,
Soldiers man the ramparts
Beer and wine are rife
A soldier makes his rounds
Peace is at hand
The soldier careth not
Yet, he does
Protection of his peers
Is very near and dear
The thoughts of running myself into a car, or wrapping myself around a tree
is automatically followed by that of apathy
and then sorrow for even thinking of putting that kind of weight on my parents
Trust.
Defined as the assured reliance on the character, ability, or truth of someone or something.
Trust is Knowing that what you believe in, what you put your hope in
will not abandon you
A blanket of comfort
hanging in the closet.
my body longs
for the warmth it brings
morning after morning.
Ordinary in every way,
torn in all the right places.
I slip it over my head
If I wandered into a bar and got drunk,
I would leave feeling pleasured and great,
Only to find my head spinning the next day.
Surely there is more to life.
Green light, yellow light,
RED LIGHT.
Green light - proceed,
Yellow light - caution,
Red light - STOP.
Stop - green light,
Caution - yellow light,
Proceed - red light,
I see your tears everyday and just want to hold you tight,I hear you when you cry in your pillow every single night,I watch you go to work and whisper I love you in your ear,
Alive I am Alive yes I am Alive
My bones tingle with the energy of life itself
The energy of life surrounds me it protects me it cradles me, guides me
guidance
Calm and low the engine hummed,
Singing its incessant tune,
As they glided down the road,
Under the placid moon.
She thought she was invincible
19 and young
Invincible to the cops
Invincible to the shots
Invincible to a drive
That took her down a road late one night
She ran from the cops,
A crawling crack in the cold ice, a minor flaw
The water below, bursting, seeping through the breaking jigsaw
Creaking and shrieking, the sheets of water cried as they were leaking
Your love is my personal Diamond...
Many want it...
But only I have it...
& I wouldn't trade it....
For anything in the World...
For it is PRICELESS!
