Poetry filled my emptiness and it made it easier to discover myself.
Why was I always sensitive? Why was I always falling in love?
My life was humorous and strange the way I write about it in my poetries.
A feeling of strength comes from the way I move my hips to luscious sounds,
Dropping to my knees to get close to the surface that supports me.
Creating waves with a body so gentle and excited.
Anybody got a mat?
What do ya mean what for?
To wrestle on, of course!
Yeah girls wrestle.
Are you kidding me? I have seen plenty:
The soft yellow State Championship mats,
Why can't I be perfect?
With long hair and bright eyes,
Why can't I be perfect?
Tight waist with average size everything,
Why can't I be perfect?

The girl who swallows the stars and extinguishes the sun―

I am not the first to fight this legacy war,
passed down from my mother.
I have been drafted unwillingly, underage.
My dad’s friends used to tell him, “Oh, Rich, you’ll have

Today I take a stand, I take an oath I make a promise, to be the best woman that I can, dignified, untainted, and honest, I will be what God defines me as, instead of a product of my past, so I hold fast to what God says about me, forgetting what
O Jimmy Walters
Your eyes shine like the screen of my phone when I get a text
Your voice sounds like angels having orgasms
And my heart fluttered when you asked me for the answers of last night's homework
Oh, her future burns,
Burning bright
Like a pyre for god,
Burning bright,
As her past burns.
She is the phoenix.
