The Princess and the Frog

The Princess and the Frog

Once upon a time there was a girl

She heard about a princess who kissed

A frog; she imagined her own prince

And she fell in love

Years pass by, the girl had

To face reality; she grew older, and her

Maturity made her forget about

The prince she wished she’d meet

Then one day, the girl

Tripped, stumbled; just about

To step on the tiny royalty

Her dream being told

Overjoyed, ecstatic, the girl

Told no one; she brought him

Home in her jacket pocket

The prince she loved

Now, on her knees, the girl

Was faced with her dream; she

Leaned in close, ready to meet

Her magical Prince-to-be

But she was only met with

A sloppy kiss; her dreams reduced

To the slime before her lips

And she almost lost her bliss

Reality may not be some

Fairytale; why should it? I am not here

To find a prince, but to become

The fairytale female
