I hear your words,
The way you judge,
How you think,
I'm heartless and lazy,
But there's three,
And then just me,
I am who spent all this time,
Jumping at every cry,
I hear your words,
The way you judge,
How you think,
I'm heartless and lazy,
But there's three,
And then just me,
I am who spent all this time,
Jumping at every cry,
You want to walk a mile in my shoes?
Man, I don't think so
I don't think you'll make it
Do I think the shoe won't fit?
Absolutely not
Maybe it will fit perfectly
But that road...
People look at you,
And just see your past.
They see your tattoos,
And your jaded mask.
But I look much further,
And deeper within.
What I see inside you
Is a true gentleman.
I see a heart
Dear Beautiful,
You.
Yes, you.
You are loved.
You are perfect.
You are beautiful.
In our society
People are so quick to judge
Based on what's seen on the outside
In the ten years that I have lived here,
I have been judged, discriminated, and hated.
I have been crushed, hurt, and segregated.
I tried and gave the best I could,
Bloodless
If in designation we find substance,
We are neither truly rich nor poor.
I know what you see when you look at me.
At least I fear as you.
Please
Don't laugh at me
Don't point at me
Don't snicker when you see me
Don't giggle at my pain
Or smile when I fail
I am only who I can be
Don't pick on me because I am different
Society.
Supposed being.
Supposed way.
Action.
Expectation,
Contemplation,
Judgement,
Wall.
I'm not afraid of my shadow,
Or the satin woven black
Of the night sky,
Words it lack.
I'm a heavy breather,
Fantasiser, I believe
In the Northern light.
But strap my arms
Behind my back
People often realize
they can endure more
than they thought they could
when enduring becomes the only option.
But sometimes-
when people can't endure-
they break.
break a little,
The life of a young woman is boundless and untamed
There is no way of telling where she will go next or who she will become
The crazy twirl that destincts
Who she is
The girl I was years ago is gone
“You walk funny.”
These words have plagued my school experience.
No one knows the reason behind this walk,
They don’t know that my muscles don’t work and I’m slower than the rest
If I'm going to hell
For my love
I'll be seeing you there
Cause god said not to judge
All you see is the exterior form
Instantly you judge me by my face, clothes and background
Yeah I'm different, isn't everyone?
Flawed human beings we are
Hiding behind, creating an illusion
How can you judge someone
when you do not know them
How can you call someone fake
when you do not know the real them
How can you criticize someones writing
when you never read it
She was 15 when she left for good.
A one up for the death toll in the hood.
Mother tried to warn her that he was no good.
A fleeting moment became the end for her.
Trust me, you don’t want to know
The thought that just flew through my head
A game of quid pro quo with the status quo
This cache of nostalgia makes my dread drop dead
I keep craving for resolution
judging people is never the key so why do people do it?
well ill tell you, they do it because they have problems at
home or something is wrong with them they want to be
They go through their motions numbly
Like stiff, rickety robots without a care
They move through their actions dumbly
Like they could honestly be anywhere
Yet here I stand watching them numbly
Heroes are not born. Heroes are made and villains aren't born they to are made. One born as a devil can be righteous. One born as an angel can be evil. We should not judge people by the way they look or talk.
A blur of faces and
forgotten names
a veil of peace
hides love and
Pain
We are all so similar,
so why do we hide?
don't judge a book by its cover
we are all the same inside
I see it . I see it !
I see the blackhole of hate racing to my presence , then into my veins.
I hate it , but it consumes me every minute I am around it.
It is an escape from reality,
reality that is at times hard to bear,
when nothing feels right,
and my heart aches to fit in,
but yearns for privacy,
that is when I sneak,
As I walk down the street I see all the faces;
The happy, the sad, the downright mad;
Some might believe they are always this way;
Soon you'll know that's just not true;
The mad man at the bus stop,
She's alone in the dark
with no one to speak to,
with no one to hold her,
no one to show her love.
Not a sound comes in or out
but this little girl's voice
crying out for help
Justice for Trayvon
Their will be.
No more unfair inequality
Jury, judge all knew this was wrong.
What more evidence do you need
for the case of young Trey?
I was strong when I was questioned about my gender.
I was strong when people made fun of the way I looked.
I was strong when my "friends" turned the class on me.
I was strong when I had no one to turn to...to call friend
What a shame, how we all were treated before,
False accusations, people judged the color of skin.
Our potential, needs, and feelings were forgotten, ignored,
Our worn and torn shoes, no one has thought to step in.
Fast cars, fast planes, designer jeans
You're dreamin' of fortune and fame
Complain, complain, complain
That's all we really do
That man on the corner is starving
Who knew?
