A Man.

So, I poem about me? Well,

Me isn't the me you see.

At least on the outside, that is.

Have you ever looked into the mirror and seen something you're not?

The shattering image of you they seem they always forgot?

You tell them to call you this, they call you the name given to you at birth,

the pronoun the doctor wrote on your certificate when you arrived here on Earth.

Some don't even care to know what "transgender" means,

They'll believe anything they see on a movie screen.

It's not their fault, I could understand,

Why they don't see what I am:

A man.
