Christmas is not only about joyIt is also about getting new toysIt is about enjoying lifeThough not solely about nice gifts.
It's so ironic how after heartbreak, a simple everyday item turns into the things that makes you fall apart,
And it doesn't take much for every little thing to remind me of you, even though you were the one who broke my heart.
Crash, bang, pop!
Midnight gridlock.
Red lights all around.
Horns blaring with the sound of a thousand trumpets.
I sit, wait, and appreciate.
Perspective changes problems into opportunities.
Women die to violence, warranted by their gender
the flashing headlights don't warn her of imminent death
never looking in the backseat, so naive, so tender
car in park, death's arms, a man's arms, steal her breath
Kind faces smiling,
Nodding politely at words
They don’t seem to understand,
Show me pictures
Showing the richness
Of a faraway distant land,
Multicoloured motor cars,
I know I’m blind
But I still let myself drive.
The only casualty will be my own.
Right?
I’ve gotten this far.
I have a son who is so stupid that I want to give him a slap.He wanted hushpuppies and I said "We got no time for that crap!"I'm Buford T. Justice and I'm a bubblegum machine.
Words have never sat on my tongue well
Never tasted like sweet juleps in summer heat
Or rolled like a Rolls Royce out of my mouth
Instead caught in the cracks of the dirty pavement,
There’s a ghost in the front seat of my car
She’s twelve, maybe thirteen
And cries as much as I do
She remains quiet against the music, or as I talk
With green-gray doe eyes
Another new place;
Another new road.
Another new school;
Another new home.
Each move just the last.
Pack up your clothes;
Pack up your shoes.
Pack up your books;

They smile as they remember how they met.
She laughs until her eyes are wet.
He can't help but look at her face,
A moment he would never erase.
He's staring at her and he starts to laugh too.
It had to be a fucking honda

Crusin' in the ride late one night
My eyes beheld an eerie site
I saw him in the rearview, pull up tight
It looks like a cop might die tonight
Ridin' dirty, hey you know me
Shadows of purple periodically interrupted by flashes of fluorescent yellow
Innards warmed like melted caramel
Riding in a car, late at night, I felt safe.
First thing's first I smirk instead of smile
This is who I am with #NoFilter
The latter done only once in a while
When I laugh by cause of my mister
Fond of all that is medicinal
I wanted to feel alive.
So with a CLICK the belt came off.
Speeding out of control.
It was an old car
I was dangerous.
I was careless.
I made it home and smiled.
exhilaration. I was lucky.
4 AM and y SAT prep book lies before me, and by now I have accomplished more than usualThe sound of cars on the highway is the only thing that separates me from silenceand my ongoing thoughts are what separate me from sleep.
The crowd is cheering
Up in the stands.
But they don't know the feeling
Of the wheel in my hands.
The tires are spinning,
The people are wincing,
At the terror and thrill of the crash
Cars, all shapes and colors
Man's wonderful achievement
Everyone enjoys!
Pretend for a moment we don’t have cars.
How different we would exist.
The people who would still be here,
Vroom Vroom
No not room room
Vroom Vroom
It's music to a grease monkeys ears
vroom vroom
The best part is that you make up the rest
vroom vroom
that can be anything
vroom vroom
Dreams consist of the moments you experience between the setting sun and the rising starsA shining moon accompanies you in this journeyFast cars roam the streets and swarm the night
High speeds..
No Pity for a Pedestrian
By Irvin Eden Ortega
I’m looking
I’m looking
I’m looking
No room
Last resort
Loud bang
Pothole shakes the car
Cracked asphalt
Hot under the sun
Late again
Stop
Find a spot
Trudge to class
Through green forested path
Cursing lights flood the dark,
Stains of grey upon the road
Twisting, Wrenching
Streams Slip
Slowly, slickly, down the damp
hills hidden behind the curve of my left shoulder
----suntanned, scarred----
We drove through the evening blueness at a rapid pace,
streetlights and buildings blurring to join the smear of stars.
The moon was a sliver, the smirk of a watchful stranger
given to those who glance uneasily his way.
Tender gasoline coats the meadow –
You look half dead half the time, dear.
Children dream of willow fires and –
Why don’t you pick the car up, dear?
Violent burns open you up from below –
(Cars run all over the world.
Running from coast to coast,
Running fast like a cheetah in the wild.
I want a car
I want a car so bad.
I want to drive.
I want a car.
The wind in my hair
Cool nights.
Blasting music
Subs in the trunk.
I want a car.
