Human Race

Yes, I am thinking about the human race
Please note that race has ‘four letters’
And most four-letter words
Can cause problems, ills, havocs and wars
Being a human being is to love everyone
Don’t get confused about being a Christian
Who is to be a Super Being, a great Human
The journey is long, this road of life
changing swirling bumping turning
never straight
This time right now, has never been
extremely steep dip to the end
face it standing
The trees are Spartan spears,
Authority and valor pierce the Horizon—
They stand dense and hold light and Fog.
They do not bend for you and me, they never have.
They do not bestow Grace or Mercy
one
begin to see
this aching earth
and its meager tenants
as what they once were
as what they have become
and
most importantly
as what they could
If I could change anything it'd be the world. If I could change the world I'd make it a better place. If I could change the world I'd benefit the entire human race.
Laughter floats throughout the room
Smiles bloom off their faces and I feel consumed
Consumed in the beauty, consumed in the fact
That we are all one
We are intact
What is race?
Is it the fight to the finish?
A competition between two or more individuals?
No, it is us.
Race can be the human race, or even more specific, race by color.
