She slid the blade deep into her arm
Breathing heavy, trying so hard to hold in her emotions
yet release all her feelings.
She thought of the sister that didn't love her,
The mother to busy to care,
and the girl who told her she was worthless.

The girl who told her she was worthless.
Who told her she would never be good enough.
Told her she should give up,
that she had no one.

That she had no one,
It ran through her head.
The anger pulsed through her veins,
The frustration bulged on her neck as she looped the noose,
She kicked the air in defiance,
Ready to leave this body she had been cursed with.

Ready to leave this body she had been cursed with.
If only someone had told her
that girl, that told all the lies,
was in her own mind.
