Notice

I’ve come to notice

On the days we scream the loudest

Our pleas have no ear to fall on

Yet a whisper of success can be heard for miles

I’ve come to notice that there is no such thing as wasted tears

Another drop in the ocean can swallow a city

I’ve come to see the world is as bright as we make it

That the nights just as we see it

But the sun always splits the night as the moon comes to shoo it away

You’ve never realized how close I am to giving up

How close I am to locking the doors and throwing away the key

But I don’t write for me

I write because I’m afraid of what I’ll do if I stop

Me
