Journal 1

Oct 5 2014

The sun is sitting on the crown of the trees just due east. Reaching her arms through its leaves,

Holding it. Like a mother hugs her child.

At this time of day it seems the shadows are even bright. However the places that she kisses the ground are vibrant and new. The songs of birds-there are so many of them-rise with her. A distant hum of cars, but there are certainly not as many as birds.

She continues across the Earth, she moves quickly to spread her love. And she kisses me, my face so quickly lit up. You can't look directly at her but if you close your eyes the backs of your eyelids, the darkest shadow you know, is bright too and its almost like looking into heaven.
