Girls are Just a Magic Show

Fri, 11/24/2017 - 20:39 -- EdiVuci

Girls are meant to be the assistant in a magic show

Better seen not heard

We should appear and disappear like the bunny out of your hat

or the dove from your cloak.

We have to change into whatever you want...

Show too much, slut

Cover up, prude

You should be able to say "abracadabra" and have a sandwich made for you

Say "hocus pocus" and have your clothing washed, pressed and neatly folded

Like cards, you can flip through your "compliments" that over sexualize our bodies

Our bodies that are no longer our bodies

Our bodies are yours

and only yours

You say you want us all natural

But all natural to you means perfect and no flaws

Natural and perfect for us means hair, no makeup, cellulite, and all

But of course, we have to hide that

Hide that we have hair that's not just on our heads

Hide that even we get tired, restless eyes and morning breath

Hide that we have stretch marks and fat.

We have to hide that every month an unfertilized egg exits our body

Something so natural is considered so disgusting to you.

Our body even expects so much from us,

Our body wants us to have a baby like the mothers who breathe down our necks

I mean we cant blame them right?

All they want is grandchildren

but what if our children is our worst nightmare

that they were forced upon us and resemble the powerful man,

who took advantage of us and owns us

We tried to save the child from the world

but that was thought of killing a baby who never even had a chance,

we didn't want to give the baby a chance because

if born a boy they would rule the world and learn that

girls are meant to be in shackles and chains

but we fear that if we have a girl

she won't have the power of an escape artist

to be free from those binds

We worry that our daughter's red lipsticks will be mistaken

as red wine to try

We worry that our daughter's value will only be shown

when she is wearing that tight black dress that hugs her curves

We worry about our daughters because

she is a woman, in a man's world
