Anxiety

Location

It can come on slow and it can come on fast

Sometimes you’d never know it’s even happening

Your palms start to sweat and your heart is about to burst

You’ll try and calm yourself down but your mind won’t stop rattling

You’ll never know what triggers it

It can be anything or nothing at all

The simplest things will set you off

And then it’s your composure that will start to fall

Do the others notice it too?

How you stay awake at night in fear of your dreams

Do they care really?

How your tears come in infinite streams

It is creeping up on you know

Just as you read these lines

You’re not alone in what you feel dear reader

There are so many of us that show the signs
