I never wanted to
Wanted to stay a kid
for as long as I could.
First went recess
then playing pretend.
Later went classes
of reading for fun.

A lthough well-meaning —
N onsensical prayers won’t work, so

silence is emptiness
emptiness left by our own inaction
inaction leads to no where

I keep staring at a blank paper like I have no feelings.
I feel like I have no words to say anything about that’s happened these last few days.

Wake him up with a “hey sweetie”, “Hello darling”
Breakfast in bed for him today followed by

He is defined by his individuality and singularity as a unique life
Take the time to acknowledge his intellect
How can you tell,
tell them they can't do well?
Why can't they feel accepted anywhere out side of their home?
All this discrimination caused by a single chromosome?
