O distant star, shining bright,Visible in the east, at twilight,This guide of my travels, a lodestone of my life,Content I am, knowing you are always there,
Even if out of sight.
You wear a brave facade to hide your fear of the dark.

Looking for another light to follow
because your own light has finally dimmed

While i fumble my words
my eyes dart to the ground,
but I feel the touch of your soft warm hands
pushing my head towards the sky.
Your booming dialect
guides me through the deep dark corners.
Mentor was what refered to you
First thing on my mind was always you
Yet what exactly have you done?
You've always risen higher than I had ever hoped
You were a beacon of light with no such awareness
I grew up in a world
where everything was fine and dandy.
I lived with mommy and daddy,
and grandma always bought me my favorite candy.
Grandpa walked me to 1st grade every morning,

Dear December 2014 Me,
You’re in your first semester of high school and finals are going well
But suddenly you feel as if you’re falling apart
Long hours of night are not meant for dreaming.
They are for dreams to keep you awake -
to fill books with imagination.
We had a connection
A connection that would not be cut down
Not even for the life of me.
A week went by and you questioned why it was you
I just thought you were pretty cute
Capture my eyes with the beauty of your hands -
How they measured out the seas and sent them to sands,
How they formed galaxies just for my wonder;
Capture my eyes with lighning and thunder.
On the days you don’t feel appreciated
Just know that we are here
To guide you through the thunderstorms
And comfort you out of fear
Hope is one I cannot live without.
She cradles me as I sob on my knees, scraping them on once-holy ground, now tainted by blood and hate.
In the dark, she guides me, a beacon of light where none exists.
The compass leads my way.
It spins endlessly.
A precious guide.
Mesmerizing and practical.
A precious guide.
It spins endlessly.
The compass leads my way.
Listen to the sound
Of the whisper of angels
As they sing the angels song
Happy are they
On wings of love they fly
Spread upon the sky
With colors of array
They do sway
Life is so mysterious,Also very precarious. It can get tedious,Unless you are spontaneous!Life can be a hindrance,Hidden from the brilliance,Difficult to make a difference,
My heart.
The substance that I need to able to live
It guides my decisions
Tells me right from wrong
Shows me the path to take to greatness
Shows me the right person to love
“Depression”
I’m tired of wearing the painted grin
That mocks me and all of my sin.
The pain of my soul and my mind
How to guide
On why feelings suck and why I don't recommend them
Falling down, falling down
And then those words saved me.
When I was at home and all alone
I looked for an escape
So I'd hide and wait, I'd hide and wait
And then your voice saved me.
There is a hawk in me,
With talons like razor blades,
And piercing eyes like amber stones glittering in the sunlight
It screeches like the sound of sharp nails on a chalkboard;
Do we let ourselves get consumed within our personal nations;
A victim of our differences by nationality?
What about the genetic equations of our emotions,
And the resulting masterpiece of our emotionality?
When I am stressed you release me
You remove a veil from the blind
They now see
When I feel overwhelmed by the commitments I have made
You clear my mind
I now see
