There’s a most familiar scent in the breeze
that sweeps across my face.
The origin of which
I cannot focus on completely.
I close my eyes
absorbing every sense of it.
It’s happened more than once.
This Lifetime
I believe you are the happy to my ending
The love to my making
The Darius to my Nina
Yea, it’s a love jones and every day I fiend for you
Fireworks shot
Not because we had just won the game
But because I had got a call to meet somewhere at exactly 11:59 PM
Right then and there I had to make the choice of a lifetime
Ashes to ashes
Dust to dust
My heart was consumed by lust
My heart ate up by desire
My heart burned upon a pyre
Love is lost, kindness gone
I can rhyme words without a rhythmbut as soon as I try, I lose the feeling. So I’ve learned to let them flow, let ‘em rolloff my tongue - or in this case my pen -
Could one let a whole lifetime pass,
without feeling like they've walked on broken glass?
Could one look into rain out of window,
and say they've never felt a drop of sorrow?
He looked upon it with new eyes
A beautiful place before him lied
So much to do and a lifetime to spare
Alone a boy without any cares
Standing in line, anxiously waiting to enter the venue, I feel
This strange connection with the people around me.
All of them here for the same reason as I.
To bask in the sweet sound of our passion.
Life,
So meaningless and rich,
It withers like a dying flower And yields its beauty with, Yet richer than the richest golds
And finer than the finest jewels,
