Knockout, lights on.
Can you hear me?
Dropout, fallout, lost and found.
Time’s up, lights off.
My world is made of words;
words that float through my mind and through my hand -
words that peel off the page and become vibrations -
I became a poet because I knew it was real
It felt so empowering to make others feel
Have them feel what I felt
With words
Merely words
I began as a poet in song, with melodies
When we walk hand in hand
When we smile at one another
When we stop all the hate
There is peace
When we all come together
And be kind to one another
When we all get along
