Poems from Nathan3259
I'm a Grad student now studying Biochemistry and Biophysics (not sure how I got there). I guess I've been using this site for nearly 8 years now though sometimes I went years without writing much of anything.
I write what I feel and I write what I need to let go of. Sometimes I write about a dream or a nightmare I had, If I can tell the difference. I fell in love for poetry in high school and continued to write in college. I hope to publish a book someday as well (leave a comment if a poem speaks to you).
P.S. My Instagram is @CottonCandyPoems
I remember when I took a train to the city
Half way through the journey the train stopped along the Hudson.
And just for a moment I looked...
Today I realized the word Shepherd, is one "e" away from Sheep herd
Which isn’t enough to write a poem about
But it was enough to make me...
I don’t understand how you can just stand there
Standing beside the river I cried
Skipping stones off my tears to watch how far they’ll go...
They call me a slut
They call me a slut because I sleep around I guess that’s what they call it
They call me a slut because I am good at...
Yes this is really me, really us
And I still have the graphic tees
And the white tube socks
And all the other things we never wear anymore...
