Shadow in the mirror

I fall on my knees picking up my papers,

not wanting to lose another in case it’s important.

I am shoved back down this time hitting my head against the fountain.

Pitying myself and wondering what offense I made

I brace to be attacked once more.

The jerk passes me by walking over to his next victim,

who in fright has already fled the scene.

Last hour of the day I see him walking to his car,

He appears to be suffering.

However I don’t care.

I leave him to struggle underneath the burden,

which only he is witness to.

Each morning look in the mirror,

Become your rendition,

not the face of someone you loath.

Changing for the worse does not create a certain justice,

if this held true then an echo would be more desired than a shout.

Your qualities must be laid by your shoes each morning.

Establish certain individuality which is key to not being rendered obsolete.

Your book should be available to those who wish to read.

Do not mistake yourself and let yourself be colored in with their qualities.
