Roller Coasters

Anyone who's been on a roller coaster can tell you,

there are ups and downs and loops and twists.

For the thrill-seekers, it's a rush but

for the fearful, the worst part is knowing that

you can't just get off the ride whenever you want.

And those horror stories of decapitation?

or of a foot being cut off?

You can't just get off the ride whenever you want.

The truth is that you're stuck on this ride for the long haul.

For some, the ups and downs are just fine.

For others, the downs really bring them down,

almost comparable to getting stuck while

the cart is upside down.

Feels almost inevitable, really.

That something will go wrong.

That in the end, you'll always find yourself down.

The truth is that you're stuck on this ride for the long haul.

And in the true end of it all,

what matters is that you were happy that

you were stuck on this ride in the first place.
