This ring and I have been through it all
Seasons, months, funerals and joy
This ring is my brother, my sister, and friend
Till death do us part this ring is my man

This silver ring that lives on my finger
Is only as cheap as they come
if it wasn't for her who gave the ring value
that gave the ring a good home

If I dare to lose this ring
I will have only lost it physically
I will still be sad and hurting
but I will always have this ring from my mother
