Our Last Goodbye

You may have it all,

With your lovely eyes and bashful

smile,

But all of you won't matter in a while.

I've given in to the greater good,

And it's time to let it be understood.

What with broken hearts to spare

We march on in a frenzy.

Too crazed to even feel ashamed.

In the eyes of many we don't relate

As a right, but an inverse with those

bitter glares of envy.

Waiting for the next plane to board,

A lightly packed suit case with a

camera on hanging

behind the mohagony door.

He has it all along with grace and

style,

While I'm left with nothing but a

broken smile.

I watch grounded in all my gallows

as he flies away,

always too soon.

He walks on air and shoots for glory.

Though, I wonder if he'll ever truly notice

the dew drops forming in my eyes..

As I watch him mouth our last

"Goodbye."
