The Lies That Lie Beneath

Location

Fear is what I consume,

Weary is what I grow.

Why I'm here on this Earth is what I'd like to know.

My heart is filled with sorrow,

My eyes drip with tears,

Why I feel so alone while others are near.

On they walk right before me never hearing my sound,

The sound of crying every night while no one is around,

To a pllow soaked with sadness and regrets to be found.

Silent weeps and screams yearning to be heard,

Wanting to be set free as if a caged bird.

Yet again I wake up and put on my mask,

For smiling through the hardships is no easy task.

All the fears and emotions bottled up to hide,

With a smile on my face though I'm dying inside.
