The Epitome of Courage (Free Verse Poem)
Whispering smiles indent my thoughts as I walk through the halls.
Overthinking what's past and what's present has been known to ruin me.
Every move I make causes my conscience to stutter.
I can't pause to think twice why must I live like this.
Everyone around me is so transparent; watch you? You spread so thin I can see right through you.
Nothing but free will and not a care in the world.
Striving on day by day with the basic need and want of amity.
Those who aid of suffer create no room to speak but only think; when will I be what's in front of me?
What is it like to break away from my fears and live through each day without a trace of apprehension;
the epitome of courage.
