The Coldest November

I saw those cold streets

Glass shards covered over the sidewalk in November

And every time you speak a little of your soul leaves your mouth

Dead bodies and warm blood with the intuition to kill

Family vendettas on side the porch because of child support bills

This was never how we should have lived

Can you see a kind’a trap

And everybody feels it’s proud to be that

....old homeless around the corner, concerned about their next meal

And how can they afford to send their babies through a day school

It’s hard enough because their parents dropped the same school

And every stare that pierce their sight is like a stab saying I’m glad I never met you

Suicides off the top off apartment six because no one cares

And everyone is proud of it

Death toll from homicide made me wonder how do Christians ride

Because their family took some other lives

And always gas the ride

I saw torn shoes, stress, and pain

They never chose to play this game

And somehow I see your fame from their pain

Abandoned school beside a gas station

3 year olds getting buried because all bullets don’t have names and are replacements for a new era

The one that doesn’t exist

Trapped inside this trap and I see a crowd of smiles for this

Blue alarms too late for problems

They kill more than they blamed Osama for

But all cops aren’t bad

The one who bangs and slangs the streets

Would also know him as dad

Coldddd winter

Coldest November you'd ever seen

And as soon as you try to fall asleep

The fumes from cracked gas pipes would wake you up from your dreams

I saw tongues with swords and hearts with stitching

Redrum in the reflection of the eyes of a billion lives

Wondering how to take a billion lives they never made

How else would you live without selling snowflakes in the winter?

A zillion tears from disapproval from the unrighteous

And you feel such a life is appealing
