Because of them...
It all began when I started to like boys.
But little did I know, those were all decoys.
They told me sweet nothings as if I was one of their toys.
I realized love was a deception.
Boys only lie to make you take contraception.
I wish I knew it wasn’t a misconception.
Because of them I grew distant
My insecurities became persistent
As a kid, love was wired into my brain.
Fairytales were never susceptible to my pain.
Who knew the lack of love would make a woman insane?
Where’s my silver lining?
Now I know no one’s really binding.
I must’ve been foolish to believe weddings meant more than confining.
