All That She Wanted

The thoughts are often,
the thoughts are deep,
the feelings are overwhelming,
she can't even sleep;
her wrists are full of cuts,
but her stomach is empty,
when she turns off the lights,
the tears start coming;
the hope of living
keeps on decreasing;
mentally and physically
it becomes too much;
she feels unloved,
she feels unwanted;
she begs God for a better day,
but the bad keep coming;
eventually it becomes enough,
she says one last prayer,
then takes a gun to her chest;
the pain is done,
the suffering is over,
all that she wanted,
was for someone to love her.
