A Guide for the Lost and Lonely
- It's been a while now
- I used to cut and cry and repeat
- But now I finally know
- How that battle can be beat
- For all those in need
- Who is as I used to be
- I will explain what I did to be freed
- It's not a 100% guarentee
- It's something I worked at for a while
- I know it sounds hard, but put the knife down
- No more thoughts making you suicidal
- I don't have to know you to know you have loved ones around
- But don't do it for them
- Do it for yourself
- I know, that's a person with whom you aren't friends
- But that's not you talking, just one self
- That little voice, criticizing things you do
- That voice saying you are nothing
- That is not the true you
- You can fight it, this I'm promising
- You hear that voice, tell it to shut up
- That voice only has control if you let it
- You wait, alone, for someone to help
- Only for you to push them away, but I get it
- You want someone to save you, your hero
- Hero's are for fairytails, but inside your head there is a bad guy
- To fight it, you need not swords, arrows or bows
- All you need is to get up and try, try, try
- There is no way to just wake up and feel better
- You will always have struggles, you will always have scars
- When you give in to cutting you lose the battle
- But people who give into suicide have lost their wars
- You need to stand strong
- You need to fight
- In the end you know the right thoughts from wrong
- So please, I beg you, even on your darkest, painful night
- Please remember my words:
- You are stronger, smarter, and better than you think
- Those demons in you head come from different, twisted worlds
- You can beat them without an angel, your story is not written in ink
- You can survive
- I promise you, dear reader filled with emptiness
- But please, for yourself, stay alive
- And you can add some beautiful things to this nothingness
