An Unanswered Plea
The hold that you had found in my veins,
was not found without warning.
It was preceded by a feeling
That weighed heavy in my chest.
The former pain that I have seen in the eyes, of the lovers I had made
whose names sounded like much your own.
It is only there when you are
The pain that you alone can bring
Your unique inflictions are often unseen
And those hands of yours are bleeding with repetition
There is no change in you
One can only hope for a different outcome with you
I have asked for you to change endlessly
And you, insanity, have only changed me.
