Wednesday Morning [8/21/2019]

Surrounded by natural beauty, God’s greatest creation…

In the absence of urban ruckus and cacophony…

Crickets lull us to sleep, whippoorwills herald the dawn

and cicadas announce the morning.

Domesticated does and spotted fawns graze as

our neighbors and I watch in silent awe.

Awake within their tents, my friends relax;

in no hurry to start the day.

Joe and I were the first ones to wake; I was the first to get up, to start breakfast. They were likely playing Runscape whilst I wrote that; awaiting my coffee.
