To Wake Up

A friendship so beautiful,

The world's eyes are forever searching,

But fail to find, rendered sightless by greed.

The hatred tries to bleed into, incompetent.

A home broken like an ocean floor of glass,

Hearts beating for nothing but jealousy,

A mother so bitter, sick, devastated,

Agony addressing each day.

A passion that burns like an inferno,

Beastly, beautiful, terrifying.

The one that strikes adulation from anyone

Deadly, dancing flames.

Waking up for her,

to see her smile,

radiance emanating like a torrent,

Demanding to be differentiated from the rest.

I live for you, and all the years with you,

And all of the breath I have left.
