A Voice
Deep and rich,
Smooth and clear,
A masterpiece painted for the ears,
A sweet perfume to the listener.
A silvery song,
A tenor or base,
The loud radio announcer,
Or the soft-spoken artist.
Pure as velvet,
Soft as silk,
Authority or apprehension,
Tranquil or excited.
Raspy and thick,
Gruff but appealing,
The habitual smoker,
Or the elderly man.
Strong as stone,
Dry as dust,
Slurred or precise,
Hoarse or gentle.
Deep and rich,
Smooth and clear,
A masterpiece painted for the ears,
A sweet perfume to the listener.
Few things are quite as interesting as a voice.
