Upside Down Chair

Location

How do you make sense of an upside down chair

when the sky sees the surface that belongs to the eyes of the earth

put it right side up again and then finally it is useable

yellow chairs bowing to the trees

their hue smiling against the dark patches of mud

where the rains outgrow the grass

the fog protrudes toward the chair

disheveled and caught off-guard

on a day where the chair is right side up

and it’s the sky that flipped, the earth that turned

put it right side up again and then finally it is broken.
