Three Little Words
the constanants tingle, the vowels vibrate into place
not quite creating the words but leaving in my brain a faint trace
I can feel them in my body, they move from my head into my heart
those three little shadows of a thought, whirring through every part
they travel from my heart up into my throat, making me hoarse
the tingles of them moving through excite my whole body, but they get caught by the receptors
telling the words to go back, where they cannot escape
where they can't do damage and they will remain until its safe
I open my mouth, a silent scream, a desperate attempt
to save myself from the feeling of doubt, to let go of the effect
but the words, they go, right on back to my brain
to finish cooking and tingling so that they can try to escape again
