There is a Battle Up There

Your mother fought this battle as a child

Made your future a promise of her peace

Yet you bring this war back upon her

Does it feel grand, to slay your father

Look into his eyes and twist the blade

You threw him from the precipice and ran

Your uncle prayed to not withstand another duty

All this fighting will bring about his end

He closed his eyes, spoke the truth, and was asleep

She will not forgive you of the suffering

The man you serve discards you by and by

The friend standing beside you will be slayed

There is a world that will topple at your leisure

Ships that crumble in the ocean and soon fall

You will not find in the darkness what you spend
