You were in my dreams last night

The both of you were

The Jerk and the Could Have Been

That is why I think it is funny
You were both subconsciously on my mind… 
Like breathing
Walking
Blinking
Then for a moment stopping to think about it all…
Inhaling, exhaling
One foot after another
Shutting thin eyelids to complete darkness and in half a milisecond opening to the light
I think about all that you were to me in my dreams.
Then I think about all the wrong you did to me in my waking life.
The Jerk and the Could Have Been.
Once awoken I realized
For once my dreams were not better then my reality
