Stubborn Eyes

I wish I could cry properly.

Standing in front of the bathroom mirror

Staring deep into myself

Picturing the most impossibly

Dead image

Trying to push the tears out

Feeling absolutely no moisture

How does it feel

To be able to liquify your emotions

They become

Part of the elements

A force of nature

It must be nice.

Imagining the sweetest memory

A child

Without burden

My eyes are stubborn

The tears wont show

Maybe they're stuck

Would you give me yours

Put them in a jar

With the lid closed tight?

I would keep them safe

It's not that I want you to be sad

But if I gave you a hug

Or if I baked you a cake

Maybe you could try.
