Stary Night

We were only joking
When we sat beneath the weeping willow
The soft hairs of your arms
Electrocuting my senses
Our conversation went on
In silence

As the robins darted back and forth
Across the blue-green grass
We sprung into Spring
Our innocence soon to die

But, oh how the music sounded sweeter
Once, I got a taste of you
Peaches became a lesser thing
All the world expanded
in a dream of love or lust

What does it matter?
It made me look up
Where the stars
Introduced me to infinity
As I learned to soul dance
in the canyons of my
restless mind
