The snowflakes dance their joyous dance
moving in circular motions here and there
the beauty of it puts even the great muses,
and laurel trees to shame
rushing towards me like little children,
and tickling my face
calling to me to join in their dance,
before they reach the ground
covering it in a layer of soft, white beauty
the ground is lucky to be acquiring such lovely guests,
although only for a short-lived period
the snowflakes hug and kiss
bidding each other quiet goodbyes
for they must ready themselves
to meet their new companion,
the earth, and later the heavens.
