She's Beautiful

As her head lays on my chest,

I feel the knot in my throat grow.

Tears begin to fall down my face.

And all I can feel is sorrow.

God will never leave me empty.

He replaces everything in loss.

Lord give me peace and strength through this,

Turn your face and give me grace.

Five pounds, fourteen ounces,

Eighteen and a half inches.

Has her daddy’s hair and her mommy’s nose.

We’ll see her once again, we know.

Angel Norah has left us.

And now my heart is so heavy.

I am not sure words will ever be enough.

Jesus Lord, help me now.
