A society stained with a discomfiting past and present,

Legacies, wealthy donors, glass ceilings,

A society deeply embedded with privileges,

Dream Act, Affirmative Action, closing of gaps,

A society with true equality requires parity in economic, social, and political representation,

These are the true qualities of a Democratic Nation.
