Rapunzel's Haircut
I'm Rapunzel and I've just cut my hair off.
It meant freedom at the beginning,
But now I can see
I'm still trapped.
How am I supposed to get down now?
Hayley Williams said "burry the castle",
It must be nice to be out and to have a shovel.
The window is actually not that high,
I could easily climb down.
The doors are not really made of stone,
I could easily go out.
But they'd call for me.
"Where are you going? Are you going alone? I am going with you. Why can't I go with you? Why do you hate me?"
So I stay.
All the rooms of all the houses I've lived in
Had doors made of stone
Even though the voice was not there.
And I had to pull every day on my way out,
And push every day on my way in.
I did not build muscle,
In fact, I got sore at first and then I got injured.
So I went back to the castle,
Where the voice chases me.
I'm stuck in my bed
Like this was a madhouse,
Well, I'm mad and I live here.
I found out people can be healing for me
And I already knew that people can be damaging for me.
I have to get down
All by myself.
I'm Rapunzel and I can't stop trimming my hair,
I'm growing out a mullet
But never again a mane.
I'm Rapunzel and I need to get out,
I need to seek my healing people,
I need to find my place,
I need to open my doors more easily
Without growing my hair.
