The Plight Of Lost Toys

There I was, yet there I wasn't
For they neither saw me or knew where I hid
The shadow's hostage; the dustmite's captive
I feared "I'm forgotten" despite what I did

Alas, they still call me
Forever they seek me
But lo and behold
Their hands never each me

Cast out and alone
By no act of their own
I am long rust away
Ne'er to be found again.
