Ocean Eyes

Ocean eyes that tell a story

about the rough seas

though you would never know

He reveals a smile

of innocent perfection

so you cannot see, nor hear

about how his ship rocked

in the current by the pire

Ropes, hooks and fishing line

are wrapped and attached to the memories

left back in time

Waves hug the sides of your ship

looking back you can see the lines of string

that have no slack, you start to race, hoping

they will hold on, and not snap

for if they do your memories come back

Sweet darling with your Ocean Eyes realing in thoughts

that cause you to cry, tell me what you hide

under that smile of cries

tell me what causes the water in your eyes
