To My Old Self

Alone, that is how I felt

How we felt.

As I look back and realize

You were never alone, you

Had your thoughts, your dreams, and your goals.

They scared you. They broke you, they broke us.

Thinking ourselves into a hole, now that I no

Longer stand there in

The loneliness of my own brain,

In the dark, forgotten parts.

I hope you understand, and that you do listen,

And remind yourself.

That your thoughts control you, but you

Are the one that creates those thoughts.

You are the one that will

Accomplish, you are the one

That will not fear.

Please

Love and

Understand that the

Loneliness you fear,

Made you, reappear

And sincere.
