Love of the Animals

At sixteen I knew

and at seventeen I fell.

 

You and I

will howl to the moon

for every night to come.

Pups will weave

throughout feet.

 

You and I,

like our hairy cousins,

will cry a distressing cry.

And with that,

the other will leave.
