Loud Noises
The questions pop up like fireworks
Sparks flying out
I cover my face, evading them
while fire licks the dark sky
I push my hand over my ears
I don't want to see, to think
It hurts, my head straining
But i need to ask them
What a memory this is
I can't find answers nor end
They just keep poping,
those bright things in the sky
hard to ignore the nagging
With bright flashes, they seem to chant
"Answer me! Answer me!"
Sharp spikes in my skull with every blow
With every crack and boon, another
Another
My tears fall in vast numbers
As if it'll light the path
Or maybe distract me from
the explosions in my mind
But they stay at it, in their loud teasing
Never finished, never full, never fade
